"I cannot remember a time when art was not a part of my life. I have had a love affair with art since the time I discovered my first copper colored crayon. I started drawing at a very young age. While still in High School I was selected to attend a special art school/program. I continued my art through college and in my third year declared a second major in Nursing. I worked full-time as a Registered Nurse and part-time as a professional artist for the majority of my adult life. I am now lucky enough to be concentrating on just my art.”
"I have been influenced greatly by the impressionists and to some extent the expressionists. Aguste Macke is my favorite in the latter group and Edgar Degas in the former." "I paint for the viewer and occasionally for myself. Sometimes, when I am really lucky, they seem to paint themselves.”
